While everyone’s eyes were fixed on the sun’s rendezvous with the moon, a fascinating phenomenon was unfolding right at our feet: a natural pinhole effect cast strange, shifting shadows onto the ground. The silhouettes of the trees, suddenly transformed, took on an unexpected depth. Upon closer inspection of the photos, another layer of meaning emerges: the details on the ground—rubble, scattered leaves, dried blades of grass—anchor this illusion in the reality of the material world while evoking rocks shaped by the sea. A dialogue between light and shadow sculpts the space, revealing to us a mineral landscape shaped by the fleeting encounter between the sun and the moon.
